GH’s Lynn Herring Reveals the One Part of Lucy That Isn’t Glamorous!
Lucy Coe may run a cosmetics company, but portrayer Lynn Herring admitted that while her GENERAL HOSPITAL alter ego may be a glamorous executive type, she’s the complete opposite! Living and working on a ranch with husband Wayne Northrop (ex-Roman, DAYS OF OUR LIVES) is a far cry from running Deception!
“You can always tell by my hands,” Herring confided to Soap Opera Digest. “Before we started talking today, I had to feed a bunch of cows and do a bunch of work with some fence posts and I have dirt under my nails. That’s the one thing Lucy can’t fix — I’ll always have ranch hands!”
So even though the hair, makeup, and wardrobe departments at GH can doll the actress up and make Lucy look like a million bucks, Herring admitted that there’s one thing they can’t transform. “No matter what manicure you give me,” she revealed, “you’ll still see these really strong muscles in my hands with big knuckles from being used and abused all these years from the critters and the fieldwork.
“I just laugh,” Herring added, “because I’m in these beautiful dresses and I love my hair and makeup and then you look at my hands and go, ‘Oh my God! Well, I’ll just hide them behind my back!’”
So the next time you see Lucy all dolled up in some fabulous new dress (or one of her stunning Nurses Ball gowns!) just try and picture her milking a cow or building a fence in it!
