Michael Blake Kruse Joins the Cast of GENERAL HOSPITAL!

Please join us in welcoming Michael Blake Kruse to the cast of GENERAL HOSPITAL! The actor will be playing the new character of Rory, who Soap Opera Digest is reporting will be a rookie cop just starting work at the Port Charles Police Department. We also hear that this is a contract role. “Time will tell, everyone,” the actor tweeted when news of his casting hit social media.

Kruse has appeared in movies like Double Play, Christmas Harmony, and Dead in the Water as well as in primetime series like STRANGE ANGEL and CRIMINAL MINDS. His most recent roles were episodes of GREY’S ANATOMY and EVERYTHING’S FINE that aired last year. GH will mark the actor’s daytime debut.

At this time there are no more details regarding Rory including when Kruse will first air as the character. The PCPD has been beefing up the staff lately with Jordan getting back to work after some time away. Perhaps it’s time for Chase to be reinstated and Rory will be his new partner? That could certainly cause friction. Especially if the newest hottie in Port Charles catches Brook Lynn’s eye! (Although she might also be willing to use Rory to make Chase a little jealous and get him to finally act on his feelings for her!)
