GENERAL HOSPITAL Reminds You to Set Your DVR

Now that GENERAL HOSPITAL has run out of new shows and will be airing encore episodes, they want to make sure that fans aren’t missing out on any of the drama. The soap released a special promo urging viewers to make sure that they have set their DVRs to record “All Episodes” otherwise they might miss out!

Typically, when a DVR is set for series recording it defaults to only recording new episodes. And since GH has suspended production during the COVID-19 pandemic to keep the cast and crew safe, they ran out of new shows on May 21. On May 25, they began airing themed encore episodes beginning with the 2014 and 2015 Nurses Balls. So since the shows that are currently airing aren’t new, your DVR won’t automatically be recording them and will need to be adjusted to record “All Episodes” not just new ones.

Now, if you did happen to miss any encore episodes of GH, they are also available online. However, they can be a little tricky to find as they are listed under their original airdates. So on ABC.com, you need to scroll all the way down to find them and on Hulu you need to select the correct season from the pulldown menu in order to find the older shows.

Keep checking back to SoapsInDepth.com for updates on what future encore episodes GH plans to air — and set your DVR correctly so you don’t miss any of them — as well as for updated information about the soap resuming production after this global crisis has passed.
