The GENERAL HOSPITAL Scene that Brought Dominic Zamprogna’s Wife to Tears

In the Sept. 8 episode of GENERAL HOSPITAL, Olivia was absolutely heartbroken when Dante refused to see her, and actress Lisa LoCicero delivered a shattering performance as the mother tearfully begged her son to open the door and at least let her see his face. “Aw, my youngster,” she shared on Instagram after the episode aired. “Olivia should’ve gone hardcore The Shining on that door.”

The newly-returned Dominic Zamprogna gave as good as he got in that scene, as Dante desperately wanted to open the door and reunite with his mother but forced himself to do what he believed was the right thing. Still, the actor had to admit that it was his TV mom that stole the show, and his entire family would back him up on that one. “I just want to tell Lisa the Z’s just watched this and we’re collectively blown away by you,” Zamprogna tweeted of the emotional scene. “Also, you made [my wife] Linda cry.”

The duo’s GH co-stars were just as blown away by the scene, with Eden McCoy (Josslyn) tweeting, “Anyone else screaming ‘Open the door?!’ Just me? So amazing, you guys.” And Katelyn McMullen (Willow) commented on LoCicero’s Instagram post with a series of heart and fire emojis that kind of says it all.
