GH’s Sofia Mattsson Welcomes a Beautiful Baby Boy!
Congratulations to GENERAL HOSPITAL star Sofia Mattsson (Sasha), who gave birth to a beautiful baby boy in July! “Happiest four weeks ever with this little guy!” she shared on Instagram on Aug. 25 with a gorgeous pic of her cradling her bundle of joy. “He joined us on July 26, 2021, and stole my heart completely!”
Back in May, Sasha revealed she was pregnant, and when she began showing, GH viewers immediately began wondering if the baby bump she was sporting was real. And sure enough, in June, the actress revealed that she was expecting a baby in real life, but had held off on the reveal so as not to spoil the reveal on the soap! And when Mattsson finishes up her maternity leave and returns to work, she will be sporting a fake baby bump as they build up to Sasha giving birth on the show!
Mattsson and her husband, actor Thomas Payton, are overjoyed to welcome their son, though they have not yet publicly revealed his name. The comments on her Instagram post were full of well-wishes from fans and friends, including some of her GH co-stars. “You beautiful, strong, glowing mama!” exclaimed Briana Nicole Henry (Jordan). “Congrats. What a lucky little guy he is. So proud of you.” And Katelyn MacMullen (Willow) wrote: “Congrats! I love you so much, beautiful mama! I can’t wait to meet him!”
