Josh Swickard Previews What’s Next for Chase and Willow on GH

Things are looking up for Chase on GENERAL HOSPITAL now that he’s out of the hospital and on the mend, but he’s doomed to get his heart broken when he learns that Willow has fallen in love with Michael and only married him because she thought he was on his death bed! “I don’t know how Chase will react,” portrayer Josh Swickard admitted to TV Insider, “but I can’t see that situation going over well for anyone regardless of their temperament.”

Of course, Willow putting her feelings for Michael aside to marry Chase and make him happy in his final moments is somewhat similar to when Chase and Sasha pretended to have an affair to push Michael and Willow together so they could get custody of Wiley. “It’s not the same particular history but it’s not totally different, either,” the actor admitted. “You can definitely argue what Chase and Sasha did was different but Willow is doing what she is for the right reasons, too.

“Chase might handle it better than the average Joe would because of what he’s been through,” Swickard added. “But he might not handle it all that well. That’s my guess.”

Willow fell in love with Michael as they were pretending to be married for the sake of his son, so perhaps she might do the same thing now that she’s hitched to Chase and helping him get back on his feet? Or perhaps the heroic cop could step in and help Sasha if her new relationship with babydaddy Brando doesn’t work out? “There are a couple options [the writers] could take,” Swickard mused. “I think there’s always going to be something between [Chase and Willow]. I am wondering where the writers will take this.”
