Inga Cadranel Says Goodbye to GENERAL HOSPITAL
As Harmony succumbed to her injuries on the May 4 episode of GENERAL HOSPITAL, the character’s death meant the exit for portrayer Inga Cadranel. “Wow. What a wild ride!” the actress exclaimed on Twitter. “I loved playing this broken woman who only wanted love. Honored to have the chance to bring her to life. Now I say farewell, Harmony. It was nice knowing you.”
Cadranel joined the cast of GH in February 2019 during the Dawn of Day storyline as cult leader Shiloh’s right-hand woman — and was soon thereafter revealed to be Willow’s estranged mother. The two women began to repair their relationship in the past year or so, and Harmony made great strides in redeeming herself as well. But as the walls closed in around her and more folks in Port Charles learned that she was not Willow’s biological mother, Harmony spiraled out of control as she tried desperately to keep hidden the secret that her daughter was actually Nina’s child.
In addition to her post on Twitter, the actress also shared on Instagram a gallery of photos from her time on GH. The carousel included a few shots of Cadranel in her dressing room, and several images from her last day on the set, complete with bloody makeup. “That’s it! That’s all she wrote,” the actress captioned the photos. “I want to say thank you, thank you, General Hospital fans! You guys are amazing. You stuck with this crazy character who did a lot of bad things. You saw through to her pain, and I am so honored to have stepped onto the GH stage and into Hollywood history.”
Despite her time in Port Charles having come to an end, Cadranel looked back on her GH run fondly. “So much fun,” she continued, adding her appreciation for those who supported her along the way. “So much love for you all. I see you. I thank you.
“The lights have officially gone out in Harmony’s dressing room,” Cadranel concluded.
