Who Is Brandon on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS? — Meet Mitch Eakins
The new character of Brandon on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS debuted in the April 3 episode and is being played by Mitch Eakins. “This is exciting,” the actor tweeted when his casting was announced. “Hope the fans are ready for some mischief.” He’s currently scheduled to appear in a few episodes, but who knows what the future might hold?
Brandon Rose first appeared knocking on Victoria’s hotel room door in Las Vegas looking for someone named Lizzie. When Victoria tried to get rid of him, he slid a flyer for his band’s performance under her door. Although she wasn’t planning on going, Victoria later went to the show and afterwards hung out with the band taking selfies. She tried to use a fake name, but Brandon recognized her and called her Victoria. She declined his offer to go to a club, but Brandon scrawled his number on her arm before they called it a night and she seemed quite intrigued by the musician and later spent the night with him!
However, Brandon also has a connection to a private high-stakes poker ring and claims that Victor Newman is involved somehow. So what is this guy’s real story?
Y&R isn’t actually Eakins’ daytime debut as he played Rafe’s physical therapist, Pete Clarke, in a handful of episodes of DAYS OF OUR LIVES in 2013 and 2014. You might also recognize him from his appearances in primetime series like THE AFFAIR, SEAL TEAM, HALT AND CATCH FIRE, and TURN: WASHINGTON’S SPIES. And if you play videogames, his voice might sound familiar as he has done voice work for games like Call of Duty: WWII and Red Dead Redemption II.
Eakins is slated to appear during the first two weeks of April, but you’ll just have to stay tuned to see how his storyline plays out to find out if he’ll be sticking around longer than that. And for more Y&R casting news, keep reading the CBS edition of Soaps In Depth magazine.
