GH Alum Andrea Bogart Welcomes a Baby Girl!
Congratulations to GENERAL HOSPITAL alum Andrea Bogart (ex-Abby) and her husband Erik Almas on the birth of their baby girl on May 31! On June 2, the actress shared an Instagram post thanking everyone for the birthday wishes she received on social media the day before and then revealed the good news! “We got to bring home our new baby girl and as you can imagine it was the best gift to have a healthy baby in our arms,” she wrote.
While Bogart had to spend her June 1 birthday in the hospital having just given birth, that little bundle of joy proved to be the best present she could have received. “My birthday was blissful, to say the least, and we are home resting,” she reported. “We look forward to sharing more soon. She did insist on having her own birthday and was born late evening Memorial Day.”
Bogart and husband Almas already have a three-year-old daughter, Emerie, who will be turning four in July. She announced her second pregnancy back in March, indicating that the new addition to the family was due to arrive in May. And she just made it!
GH fans fondly remember the actress for her role as Michael’s ill-fated girlfriend Abby Haver, which she played from 2010-11. Since leaving the soap, Bogart has landed roles on series like RAY DONOVAN and ZAC AND MIA as well as making guest appearances on shows like CSI, LUCIFER, and HAWAII FIVE-0. Fans have also been able to catch her in TV movies like The Wrong Neighbor, Kidnapped by a Classmate, and last year’s Cheer Camp Killer. Bogart is also a certified yoga instructor who owns her own business, so she’s always keeping busy!
