Drew and Nina on GH?! — Cameron Mathison Speaks Out!

Drew and Nina’s office hookup caught some GENERAL HOSPITAL viewers by surprise, but many had already noticed some sparks flying between the two. However, Cameron Mathison (Drew) was not among them!

“I didn’t see it coming at all,” he admitted to Soap Opera Digest. “I think the audience did… So I love that it was very unexpected. The writers saw it, too. And I love that it’s not a typical way for two people to be… physical. I was gonna say intimate, but there’s not a lot of intimacy there. And then as soon as it’s over, it’s back to arguing and giving each other crap again.”

Drew hated Nina as soon as he found out that she was the one who turned him and Carly in to the SEC and got him locked up in prison for a time. Of course, that was more directed at Carly and what happened to him was just collateral damage. (Also, he was the one who offered to take the fall to protect Carly!)

Drew may have hired Nina back as editor-in-chief of Crimson, but the two continued to butt heads. And their constant sparring turning into passion took them both by surprise! “The two of them are both like, all right, let’s forget about that and move on,” Mathison explained. “It’s like a weird kind of aggression attraction. There’s obviously attraction there, but I don’t think either of them expected it, and I think they’re both totally shocked and surprised by it.”

The unexpected sexual encounter proved that where there’s smoke there’s fire, but could there be more hot moments between these two in the future? Given that Drew and Nina don’t particularly like each other all that much, it seems unlikely, but given all the twists and turns happening on GH right now, fans should probably be ready for anything!
