Eden Harker Is the New Georgie on GENERAL HOSPITAL!
There is a new actress playing Maxie and Spinelli’s daughter, Georgie, on GENERAL HOSPITAL: Daytime newcomer Eden Harker made her debut in the July 27 episode. Harker takes over the role from Lily Fisher, who was last seen at the Nurses Ball when Obrecht went missing shortly after performing a magic routine with Georgie and James.
The 14-year-old actress and model has quite an expansive resume, according to her profile on Breakdown Express. She appeared in the Lifetime movie Pom Poms and Payback, voiced a character on Nickelodeon’s RUGRATS, and has performed in several productions at the Pico Playhouse in Los Angeles. The teen, who will be entering high school this fall, has modeled in several advertising campaigns, including a print ad for Skechers. Harker is also an accomplished ballerina who danced in The Nutcracker with the Moscow Ballet for three years in a row at L.A.’s Wiltern Theater.
As longtime GH viewers know, Georgie Spinelli is the product of a one-night stand between exes Maxie and Spinelli. At the time, Maxie was acting as a surrogate for Lulu and Dante since her bestie was unable to carry her own child. But Maxie never told the Falconeris that she had miscarried their baby and then got pregnant with her own child. The truth finally came out after Georgie was born in August 2013, leading Dante and Lulu to fight Maxie and Spinelli for custody of the little girl. The judge ultimately awarded full custody to Georgie’s dad, and Maxie was forbidden to see her own daughter. However, the case was revisited a year later, and Maxie was finally granted visitation rights. By then, Spinelli and Georgie had moved to Seattle with his girlfriend, Ellie Trout, but he and Maxie successfully co-parented their daughter from opposite sides of the country.
When the character was a toddler, Harper Barash, the real-life daughter of Kirsten Storms and Brandon Barash, briefly played the role. Fisher made her debut in the role in 2017, when Spinelli surprised Georgie by bringing Maxie to Port Charles to attend her mom and Nathan’s wedding. The child actress began to appear on the soap more often after Spinelli and Ellie split up and he moved back to Port Charles.
