Eden McCoy Signs a New Contract With GENERAL HOSPITAL!

Tags:

Having joined the cast of GENERAL HOSPITAL as Jax and Carly’s daughter, Josslyn, when she was just 11 years old, Eden McCoy has grown up right before our eyes. GH viewers have watched the talented young actress blossom from a pre-teen to a young woman as McCoy matured from a middle schooler to a high school graduate. In the fall of 2021, the Emmy nominee enrolled at the University of Southern California — leading some fans to wonder if the actress will be able to continue juggling her GH duties with the expanded responsibilities that go along with being a college student.

Thankfully, in a new interview with The Chat podcast, McCoy revealed that she has no intentions of parting ways with the soap. In fact, she recently re-upped her contract! “They don’t need to worry about me leaving. I just signed another three-year [deal],” she confessed. “Secret’s out!”

McCoy added that working on GH while being a student in a traditional school setting is something she has years of experience with. “School’s very important to me,” she said. “I think the fact that I went to normal high school throughout… I’ve been on the show since I was in elementary school, so I have some training in this area.”

That’s not to say that working as a contract player on a daytime drama while continuing to further her education is easy peasy. “Of course, it’s very hard,” she admitted. “I’ve been lucky enough to have the people around me be willing to work with me on it and support me in following both. I owe as much credit to the environment I’m in than to myself.”

Because the truth is, at the end of the day, McCoy isn’t sure she’d be able to pick college over performing on GH, or vice-versa! “I just love both too much to not do them both,” she concluded. “I just got really lucky.”
