GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Brad and Lucas Reunite!

Tags:

It’s been a long time since viewers have seen GENERAL HOSPITAL fan favorites Brad and Lucas together. Once upon a time, not so long ago, Britt’s bestie and Carly’s brother were happily married, working together at the hospital, and raising their adopted son, Wiley. As longtime GH viewers know, that all changed when the truth came out that Brad had swapped their dead son with Nelle Benson’s newborn, the lab tech went to prison, and Lucas filed for divorce!

While a GH reunion between the characters’ portrayers, Parry Shen (Brad) and Ryan Carnes (ex-Lucas) isn’t likely going to happen, the actors took matters into their own hands and got together again in an amusing video to promote their recent GH Fan Club Weekend breakfast event. “Look what happened when Ryan Carnes and I tried to Zoom!” Shen shared on social media, presenting a 90-second video. “AI [artificial intelligence] is insane! But we’ll use this sorcery to be in person for the first time in four years.”

As the video begins, Shen is sitting in a desk chair, a bookcase behind him filled with photographs, Funko Pops, Lego creations, and other knick-knacks. “Waiting for Ryan’s return before we start the Zoom,” Shen explained.

On the other side of the screen, Carnes sat down at a table, clutching a mug that he confessed was filled with “a little healthy concoction” he threw together to help him perk up after driving from Texas to Los Angeles. “I’ve been awake about 44 straight hours,” he admitted, yawning and stretching out his arms.

But as he stretched, Carnes’ arm went into Shen’s side of the split screen, hitting his pal on the shoulder. As both men look at each other warily, Shen reached over and poked Carnes on the hand. After exchanging a few playful slaps, Shen and Carnes swapped sides of the screen. “This is really weird,” said Carnes, while Shen admitted, “This AI crap is kind of scary.”

The actors then decided to take advantage of the artificial intelligence for a live fan event, “to see all the people we haven’t seen for like, four years,” as  Carnes suggested.

Sadly, the date for the breakfast party with Carnes and Shen has passed, and those of us who were unable to attend are left with nothing but their fun video to watch on repeat!
