While he was playing Andre Maddox on GENERAL HOSPITAL, actor Anthony Montgomery added a bunch of new soap fans to the number of sci-fi fans he’d already garnered during his time playing Ensign Travis Mayweather on STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE. And all of his fans are going to be interested in his latest project — his memoir titled Life Trek: From Naptown to Red Carpets!

“I’ve got some surprises coming this year,” he teased on Instagram. “I have been working on a couple things in silence for a while now, and my hard work is paying off. I’m incredibly proud to announce that my new memoir is nearly complete and now available for preorder. Please visit my website to order your copy today. The preorder period has been extended until May 1, 2024. All preorders will receive a “thank you” in the book as well as an autographed copy.”

Anthony Montgomery memoir

Born in Indianapolis, IN, Montgomery moved to California where he got his big break in the horror-comedy Leprechaun in the Hood then enjoyed a recurring role on the WB primetime series POPULAR. He was one of the series regulars on STAR TREK:  ENTERPRISE for its entire run from 2001-05. The actor joined the cast of GH in November 2015 playing Dr. Andre Maddox, and after his December 2017 exit, returned to reprise the role a handful of times in the years that followed. He can currently be seen playing Brother Elijah on the BET series THE FAMILY BUSINESS.

In addition to his acting, Montgomery is also a musician and songwriter as well as an author, working on new music coming this year and writing the graphic novel Miles Away about a teenager with special needs who fights aliens. So he’ll have a lot to cover in his memoir. It is available for preorder in both paperback and hardcover, and is scheduled to be released on Thursday, Aug. 1.
