Kristen Alderson is Engaged to Taylor Crousore!
Congratulations are in order for soap alum Kristen Alderson (ex-Kiki, GENERAL HOSPITAL; Starr, ONE LIFE TO LIVE), who accepted a proposal from her boyfriend, actor Taylor Crousore, last weekend! “We’re engaged!” the actress cheered.
The happy couple shared their exciting news in his-and-hers Instagram posts, complete with photos that a pal took of the special moment. When he decided that he was ready to pop the question on July 15, Crousore made sure to pack his proposal with some extra sentimental value by taking his girlfriend back to the site of their very first date: Pier 84 at New York City’s Hudson River Park, which sits between the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum and the terminal for Manhattan’s iconic sightseeing cruise, Circle Line.
“My new best day ever,” Alderson wrote of their engagement date. “Two years ago, on July 18, Taylor and I met up for the first time on this pier after falling for each other virtually for a month and a half prior. We were both so nervous but so hopeful that we would be just as big of a match in person as we felt we were over the 800+ videos we had sent to each other back and forth. And lucky for us, after sharing our first kiss on that pier, we knew we were a match.”
As Crousore confessed in his post, it was love at first sight. “From the moment we first sat on that bench and kissed, I knew I was going to ask her to marry me. I just figured I’d give it a reasonable two years to ask so I didn’t sound even crazier after telling you ‘I love you’ on the first date,” he admitted. “I love our pier because I love thinking of this place and smiling knowing this was where we shared our first kiss. And now, I can look back and think this is where I also asked you to spend the rest of your life with me.”
Alderson’s fiancé went all out on his engagement plans, too. First, he had the couple’s friend, Michael D’Angora, hiding where Alderson couldn’t see him so he could take photos of the moment that Crousore got down on one knee. And after the actress (thankfully!) said yes, their friends and family were waiting at an impromptu engagement party to fete the bride- and groom-to-be!
“He created a whole night,” Alderson gushed. “It was perfect. The night was filled with surprises, family, friends, romance, and so much more. I’ve never cried so many happy tears in one night.
“Taylor,” she wrote to her fiancé, “you make all of my dreams come true and I cannot wait to spend forever with you!
