Lauren Swickard Cast on GENERAL HOSPITAL as Nurse Janice!
Some fans might recognize the new nurse, Janice, at Ferncliff on GENERAL HOSPITAL because she’s being played by Lauren Swickard, the real-life wife of Josh Swickard (Chase)! Soap Opera Digest is reporting that she will make her daytime debut on the soap the week of Aug. 7.
“I’m so excited to be a part of the show because I’ve loved everybody there for years now, just being there with Josh through everything,” she told the magazine. “I love the producers and some of the cast members are actually my best friends. So it’s just been so special to be a part of this.”
The Swickards first met and fell in love while they were filming the movie Roped, and tied the knot in July 2019. They have two children together: two-year-old daughter Savannah and five-month-old son Arthur. The couple also worked together on the hit Netflix movies A California Christmas and A California Christmas: City Lights, where she not only starred opposite her real-life hubby but also wrote and produced the films. (Perhaps Chase will pay Sasha a visit in Ferncliff so he can run into Nurse Janice and the spouses can share the screen again!)
Lauren has appeared in television series like HBO’s EASTBOUND & DOWN, THE NEIGHBORS, and DEAR WHITE PEOPLE as well as in movies like Iron Man 3, Twisted Twin, and Holiday Harmony. GH will mark her daytime debut.
With Sasha currently locked up in Ferncliff by the nefarious Dr. Montague as part of the ongoing plan to make her appear crazy so Gladys can continue to steal her money, will she find Nurse Janice a help or a hindrance? Hopefully, Janice can help Sasha escape the mad doctor’s clutches and prove her sanity… and help get the ball rolling on exposing Gladys’ evil schemes!
