Lily Anne Harrison Cast on GENERAL HOSPITAL as Andrea
Please welcome Lily Anne Harrison to the cast of GENERAL HOSPITAL! The actress will be playing Andrea Gates, a potential surrogate for Molly and TJ. In their newest issue, Soap Opera Digest is reporting that she will make her debut the week of Aug. 14.
And yes, she is related to Gregory Harrison (Gregory) βΒ heβs her dad! βHe was like, βLook, itβs a lot of lines, but itβs a lot of fun once you get into the swing of it,ββ Harrison said of her fatherβs advice after she was cast on GH. βHe was actually really helpful.β
GH will mark the actressβ daytime debut, and soaps are a very different beast than films or primetime television. Harrison has previously appeared in episodes of ONE TREE HILL, THE CRAFT STORE, and TWO GUYS ONE TRUCK as well as in movies like Fair Haven, Good Deed, Christmas Camp, The Vanished, and Ruthless Realtor.
When Molly learned that because of her endometriosis, she would be unable to carry a child herself, she and TJ began looking into alternative ways to start the family theyβd been dreaming of. And while her sister, Kristina, offered to be their surrogate, Molly felt that keeping it in the family would just complicate things even further and worried Kristina wouldnβt be able to see the child as her niece, not her daughter.
So Molly and TJ met with a surrogate specialist who said that she would draw up a list of potential surrogates for them to meet and interview, which will obviously include Andrea. Might she be the one they choose to carry their baby? In real life, Harrison welcomed her first child with fiancΓ© Peter Facinelli on Sept. 5, 2022, a son named Jack Cooper Facinelli. Now she might be wearing a fake baby bump as her character carries a child for Molly and TJ!
