Peter Is Alive on GENERAL HOSPITAL — Wes Ramsey Speaks Out!

Tags:

Fans were shocked when Peter August was killed off and portrayer Wes Ramsey left GENERAL HOSPITAL, but many weren’t quite sure whether or not to believe it. And now it turns out that the actor is really just that good at his job because he had so many believing he was done at the soap when, in fact, it was all a ruse to keep his big return a surprise! Peter was killed off in the June 3 episode of GH and although he made a couple of appearances in hallucinations and flashbacks, the show treated his exit as the real thing.

But after it was discovered that Peter’s body wasn’t where it had been hidden, fans immediately suspected reports of his death were greatly exaggerated, and in the Aug. 23 episode, Ramsey made his return to the soap, spying on Maxie in Nixon falls! “Well, well, well,” the actor teased on Instagram with a screenshot of his appearance. “Let the games… commence!”

Ramsey also shared a selfie he snapped with Kimba, the puppy he and real-life love Laura Wright (Carly) share. “And on a lighter note — to help separate reality from make-believe — here was my real day today,” he wrote. “Just a guy and his puppy, working out together.”

Given the response of some fans to his fictional alter ego, Ramsey used the hashtags “#imanactor” and “#imnotmycharacter” to remind viewers that he’s just doing a job and shouldn’t be attacked online for the evil things his character does. But he was also overwhelmed by the positive feedback from fans at his surprise return to GH. “I’m humbled by all the positive responses from the fans today,” he tweeted. “GH fans always give you their truth! Well, I promise to continue giving you everything I’ve got to keep you entertained.”

And if the hashtag he used, “#GetReady” is any indication, we haven’t seen anything yet! So stay tuned to see what Peter gets up to next, and how far he will go to get his revenge!
