That's Nicole Paggi as the Temporary Maxie Recast on GH!

Viewers of GENERAL HOSPITAL should probably be getting used to suddenly seeing a brand-new face given all the temporary recasts recently! But still, it must have come as a bit of a shock to suddenly see a new Maxie in the Dec. 27 episode!

While there has been no official word as to why Kirsten Storms was unavailable to play the role she’s been playing since 2005, but that’s actress Nicole Paggi filling in for her while she’s out for a bit. And it looks like it’s just for the one day, as Storms is already in the promo for the Thursday, Dec. 28, episode!

Paggi has made numerous primetime appearances in shows like JUDGING AMY, CSI: MIAMI, 90210, RIZZOLI & ISLES, and most recently, THE ROOKIE: FEDS. But viewers might recognize her best from her role as Sydney Shanowski on the ABC sitcom HOPE & FAITH, where she played Faith Ford’s daughter during season one. Or perhaps as Jennie Bradbury on the 2001 primetime sudser PASADENA.

There have been quite a few temporary recasts on GH, with the most recent being Courtney Fulk subbing in as Josslyn as Eden McCoy takes a leave of absence from the soap. And there have been a few different Maxie’s over the years. Storms took over for Robyn Richards, and when she had to take some time off, Jen Lilley (ex-Theresa, DAYS OF OUR LIVES) filled in for her in 2011 and then Molly Burnett (ex-Melanie, DAYS) did the same in 2016 and again in 2018.
