Wes Ramsey’s Special Birthday Message to Laura Wright
For many Americans, September 11 is a date that holds very special meaning. And the day holds extra-special meaning for GENERAL HOSPITAL alum Wes Ramsey (ex-Peter) as it is also the date that his love, Laura Wright (Carly), was born. And on the occasion of his sweetheart’s birthday, the actor and writer penned a beautiful message to celebrate.
“On this very somber day of remembrance and reflection for the fragility of our time here on earth,” he wrote, “I must take a moment to share the brightly shining sunset lining within this important day. My best friend and the love of my life was born on this day. As she continues to inspire so many on her journey (myself included), I remain in awe of her strength while being so sensitive, and humbled by her dreamy optimism balanced with a beautiful simplicity towards pragmatism.
“I learn more about life and myself the longer I know her and continually feel a deep gratitude in sharing my own journey alongside hers,” Ramsey continued. “Today is indeed a day to remember how much those close to us mean to us… so let me say Happy Birthday to this stunning spectacle of beauty, soulful wit, sharp humor, and a refined, ever-flowing grace. Thank you for sharing so much of yourself with so many and yet always saving something magical for just me. I love you.”
Ramsey and Wright first met back in the early aughts on the set of CBS sudser GUIDING LIGHT where he joined the cast as Sam Spencer and she was playing Cassie Layne. But the pair didn’t reconnect and spark a romance until a Daytime Emmy Awards party in 2017 where they ran into each other unexpectedly.
A month or so after that chance encounter, the couple went public with their relationship and have been happily in love for over six years now. This summer, Wright and Ramsey enjoyed a glorious vacation in Lake Tahoe and shared some amazing photos from their adventure. And while fans are often asking when they’re going to tie the knot, Wright has said that they have no plans to do so at this time. “We don’t really feel the need to,” she admitted. “Right now, we’re good. Life is good.”
