William Lipton’s Band The Runarounds Performs on Netflix’s OUTER BANKS!
You never know when you might see your favorite GENERAL HOSPITAL stars moonlighting! Many eagle-eyed viewers spotted William Lipton (Cameron) performing with his band The Runarounds in the Netflix series OUTER BANKS! “Thanks for having us goons,” the band shared on Instagram as they promoted their appearance.
The Runarounds are the party band performing at Mike and Anna’s anniversary party in episode seven of the recently-released season three of OUTER BANKS. While if you blink you will miss seeing Lipton singing in a couple of shots, the band’s performance can be heard throughout the scene as they cover Cheap Trick’s classic hit “I Want You To Want Me.” Then after Mike’s speech, their cover of “Find Yourself” by Lukas Nelson & The Promise of the Real can be heard in the background of subsequent scenes.
OUTER BANKS premiered on Netflix back in April 2020 and is set in a coastal town along the Outer Banks of North Carolina where a group of teens uncover a legendary treasure that is tied to one of their fathers, who has gone missing. The third season of the streaming drama dropped on Feb. 23, 2023.
The Runarounds are made up of Lipton, Axel Ellis, Zende Murdock, Jesse Golliher, and Jeremy Yun. They have been performing in gigs around California, and in January, recorded a live album at a USC concert. The Runarounds also hit the stage with Lipton in the Sept. 6, 2022, episode of GH when they performed “Darling Darling,” which Cameron dedicated to Trina during her party at The Savoy.
