Mark Grossman’s Mom Appears on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS!
Keep your eyes peeled for a very special guest star on an upcoming episode of THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS! Mark Grossman, who plays Adam, revealed that his mom, Patricia Grossman, was given the chance to make a cameo appearance on his soap!
The proud son shared the news of his mom’s Y&R debut in a series of Instagram stories on Sept. 19, sharing several slides and a video of Mrs. Grossman on the set of Crimson Lights. “When Mom comes to the studio… we put you to work,” Grossman wrote in the text of his Stories. “Crushing it.”
One of the video clips Grossman shared was of his mom sitting in a booth at the coffeehouse, where she can be seen in the background as Michelle Stafford’s Phyllis and Michael Damian’s Danny seem to be having a rather animated conversation!
The next video Grossman posted was of his mom receiving some directions from one of Y&R’s crew members, who instructed her to smile while at the counter before turning around and walking to the other side of the set. “Can I have a cookie?” Patricia asked with a laugh before the clip cut off.
Grossman joined the cast of the soap in March 2019, the fourth adult actor to play the Newman heir. Victor and Hope’s son was born in 1995 and was SORAS’d to a grown adult in 2008 when Chris Engen made his debut in the role A year later, Engen stepped down and was replaced with Michael Muhney who received a Daytime Emmy nomination in 2013 for his portrayal before parting ways with the soap in January 2014 when Adam disappeared. In November of that year, Adam was recast again, this time with Justin Hartley playing the character. But when Hartley landed one of the lead roles on NBC’s THIS IS US, Adam was written out once again in September 2016.
As previously reported, Damian is back at Y&R for an “extended stay” and is slated to be back on the screen beginning Thursday, September 28. Although there has been no word from the soap as to when Mrs. Grossman’s episode will air, it will likely be in the next few weeks, so keep an eye out for her!
