Parry Shen Teases His Return to GENERAL HOSPITAL!

It was teased by the soap’s headwriters back in November, but now Parry Shen has returned to GENERAL HOSPITAL as Brad! The actor showed up again in the Dec. 10 episode of the soap and also shared the good news with his fans in his Instagram Stories, first with a clip of himself in the car heading off to work and setting his car’s GPS to “Work,” which is naturally the ABC studio. “Time to go to work!” he captioned the shot, adding the hashtag “#GH” for good measure.

A second Instagram Story showed Shen snapping a selfie in his dressing room wearing his Pentonville wardrobe. He cheekily captioned it “Brad’s Back,” with an arrow pointing to… his back in the mirror.

Shen first joined the cast of GH back in May 2013 and played the scheming lab tech Brad Cooper on a recurring basis for years until the character was sent to prison in March 2020. But even that wasn’t the end, and Shen reprised the role for occasional appearances in November 2020 and again in February and July of 2021.

However, with his aunt, Selena Wu, making arrangements with Sonny to help Brad get parole, it was only a matter of time before the character resurfaced. However, given his actions in the Dec. 10 episode, even if he gets paroled, he could very well end up behind bars once again! (Not that anyone in Port Charles would really want to prosecute him for what he did!)

Of course, there’s still the parole hearing, and while Sonny promised Ms. Wu that he would help arrange for at least one vote in Brad’s favor, Michael is determined to keep Brad far away from Port Charles… and Wiley!
