Bridget is back! Ashley Jones is returning to THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL as Bridget Forrester, who hasn’t been seen since the Christmas episode in 2018. The actress shared a shot of her script that reveals she should be appearing in the episode scheduled to air on Monday, March 30. She also brought her three-year-old son, Hayden along with her to the studio. “Had the best assistant at work today, but he got slightly confused where we were… so I lowered his fee,” she joked. “It backfired, though, cause he thought it was great money! Swipe to see… and very happy to be here! “
Jones took over the role of Eric and Brooke’s daughter in 2004 from Emily Harrison, who only lasted a few months in the role after Jennifer Finnigan had vacated it. She left in 2010, returned on a recurring basis from 2011-12, and continued to reappear for brief stints in 2013, 2015, and 2018, usually to visit for family events like holidays or weddings.
“I have a really deep affinity for B&B,” she previously admitted to Soaps In Depth. “And I always will. So any time they want to write for Bridget, those are my roots, so I would love to do that. And with Bridget, I think there’s plenty of story to tell.”
Before B&B, Jones appeared on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS as Megan from 1997-2000, earning two Daytime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Younger Actress in the process. Outside of daytime, the actress starred as Daphne on the second season of HBO’s supernatural drama TRUE BLOOD and appeared in numerous Lifetime movies like A Teacher’s Crime, Secrets From Her Past, and A Sister’s Revenge. In 2016, Jones was cast as Parker Forsyth on the ABC sudser GENERAL HOSPITAL, and she made sporadic appearances as that character until 2017.
There are no details regarding what brings Bridget home for another visit or how long she’ll be sticking around, so stay tuned to find out! And for more B&B casting news, keep reading the CBS edition of Soaps In Depth magazine!
