It’s been a year since GENERAL HOSPITAL alum Briana Lane (ex-Brook Lynn) tragically lost her husband, John Lange. As the actress continues to grieve her late partner’s death last March 14, she marked the somber anniversary by penning a lovely tribute to Lange.

“One year without this snarky sweetheart,” she wrote, going on to recall some of her husband’s best attributes. “Earthy, sturdy guy with the most jokes. Most helpful helper. Top-tier bear hugger. Lover of romance and history and kindness and a very bad football team. Dreamer and realist, skeptic and cheerleader. A harbor of oxymorons. The most loyal and the most true.”

The carousel of photos Lane shared on Instagram included an image of Lange looking out to California’s iconic Bixby Bridge on the Pacific Coast Highway near Big Sur, a black-and-white portrait from their wedding day, and him as a young boy.

In her tribute post, Lane shared a selfie of her and Lange from a happy night out.Instagram

Lane and Lange married in December 2016. In August 2020, Lane was tapped by GH to temporarily fill in as BLQ while Amanda Setton was on maternity leave. Lane even received a Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Guest Performer during her time in Port Charles before exiting the soap that November when Setton returned after welcoming her third child. She then returned once more in 2022 for one episode when Setton was unavailable.

Following Lange’s unexpected and devastating death last year, Lane has made moving posts about her husband, like on his birthday in September and their wedding anniversary in December. And as she concluded her heartfelt post on the first anniversary of his death, Lane shared that her time with Lange “feels like 10 lifetimes ago and yesterday all at once. We’ll miss and love you forever, John.”
