Parry Shen Returns to GENERAL HOSPITAL!
Brad is back! Parry Shen announced his return to GENERAL HOSPITAL to play the incarcerated lab tech, and revealed the good news with a humorous Instagram post! In the video, he shows off his ABC photo ID and then uses a telescoping selfie stick rod to hold the card up against a screen outside his car window that beeps and lets him into the studio parking lot! “Looks like they haven’t changed the locks on me!” he joked. “Let’s go.”
Shen joined the cast of GH back in May 2013 and played Brad on a recurring basis in the years that followed. In 2019, his screen time increased as he became involved in a major front-burner storyline where Brad and his husband, Lucas, adopted a baby. And when that baby suffered a tragic crib death, Brad made the unfortunate decision to allow Nelle to manipulate him into switching babies with her!
After the baby switch was exposed, Brad was sentenced to prison, but fans hoped that wouldn’t be the last we saw of the well-meaning schemer. Especially with Kelly Thiebaud’s Britt back on the canvas, it would be great to see the BFF’s together again causing trouble like in the old days. Although with a new Lucas on screen, that might take some getting used to… not that Lucas will have a whole lot to say to Brad these days!
Viewers haven’t seen Brad since March 2020 when he was shipped off to Pentonville, and although Shen posted his video on Nov. 18, which just so happened to be the day that Brad appeared on screen after all this time. Stay tuned to see what happens to Brad and if he could maybe get out early for good behavior so we can have him on screen more often!
