Maurice Benard Wants Your Opinion on His Throwback Look!
Beginning when he was cast as Nico on ALL MY CHILDREN in 1987 all the way through to today where he stars as Sonny on GENERAL HOSPITAL, actor Maurice Benard has always been one of daytime’s leading men. And over the years he’s had plenty of different looks, including the one he recently shared on Instagram!
Posting an old throwback photo of himself wearing a baggy patterned sweater and necklace and sporting a goatee, Benard solicited opinions on his look with a simple caption of “Yes/No.” And boy did the responses start pouring in!
Among the numerous fans declaring their love for this particular look were a couple of his friends. Current GH co-star Evan Hofer (Dex) responded with an all-caps “YES” while Cameron Mathison (Drew) commented “Yesssssss.” However, former castmate Vanessa Marcil (ex-Brenda) teased: “Maybe.”
Back in May 2021, during the Nixon Falls storyline, Benard had some fun posing in Mike’s cowboy hat and asking fans if they preferred cowboy or gangster. And before that, in January, he polled everyone to see if they liked him better with or without a beard.
