Kelly Thiebaud Shuts Down Online Haters
The hospital employees were stunned when Britt returned to GENERAL HOSPITAL as the new chief of staff, but the doc’s portrayer, Kelly Thiebaud, knew what fans would more likely be discussing. Knowing how brutal soap viewers can be online, the actress tried to head things off at the pass by tweeting: “Hey everyone — yes, I have bangs. Yes, they were cut too short and yes, they don’t look the best. So please save your nasty tweets.”
And sure enough, there were plenty of “fans” posting on social media who simply focused on Britt’s appearance instead of the storyline twists and turns surrounding her return to GH. “So many other important things to discuss besides my hair,” Thiebaud declared to her supporters. “Thanks for the welcome back! Looking forward to entertaining y’all as The Britch!”
Thankfully, there were also many fans who offered the actress compliments and were excited to see what trouble Britt would cause on the soap this time around. Even Thiebaud’s co-stars got in on the act. “You’d look beautiful, bangs or no bangs,” insisted Finola Hughes (Anna). And Marc Anthony Samuel (Felix) marveled, “People are tripping about bangs?! There are so many more things to make fun of… like people who trip out about bangs.”
Former GH star Kimberly McCullough (ex-Robin) even chimed in to comment on the new chief of staff and her new look. “What up, Britt?” she joked. “You stole my hairdo and my job.” Thiebaud replied: “Hahaha! You inspired me!”
Unfortunately, Thiebaud wasn’t responding to the fans looking for spoilers on upcoming storylines, especially when it came to the reason for Britt being named the new chief of staff at GH. “I’m sure that will be revealed in time,” the actress teased. “I’m excited to see what’s to come!” So stay tuned to find out just what’s really going on here — and remember to be kind, always!
