It appears that Port Chuck has broken up. The four-piece band composed of GENERAL HOSPITAL stars Steve Burton (Jason), Bradford Anderson (Spinelli), Brandon Barash (ex-Johnny, now Jake, DAYS OF OUR LIVES), and Scott Reeves (ex-Steven) has called it quits and Burton shared a heartfelt farewell to the group. “Looking back at what an amazing ride Port Chuck was!” he recalled on Instagram, sharing a photo of himself at the beach wearing a hoodie emblazoned with the band’s logo. “Thank you and thanks to Bradford, Brandon, and Scott for some of the best times of my life!”
In the comments, Barash joined in, enthusing: “Nothing quite like the Chuck! Much love to all of those out there who came out and supported us.”
Port Chuck formed back in 2010 and soon began performing live across the country singing popular pop, rock, and country hits. Having performed as part of the country duo Blue County, Reeves was an established musician who was comfortable on stage, but the other three guys soon found their footing, and all of them had an absolute blast. Although the band had tour dates scheduled for 2019, technical problems forced them to cancel.
While Anderson and Burton continue to keep GH fans entertained through their Stone Cold & the Jackal podcasts and live appearances, it seems that unfortunately, Port Chuck is no more. So if you’ve got any merch from live shows you attended, keep good care of them — they’re collector’s items now!
