Steve Mize Cast as Adam’s Father on GENERAL HOSPITAL
Ever since Adam began complaining about his overbearing parents on GENERAL HOSPITAL, it was only a matter of time before one or both of them made an appearance on the canvas. And now we can anticipate seeing Adam’s father showing up in Port Charles during the week of Jan. 15 as Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Steve Mize has been cast as Mr. Wright!
Viewers might recognize the actor from his numerous primetime appearances in shows like ER, BONES, STATION 19, and GREY’S ANATOMY. However, GH is not Mize’s first appearance in daytime — in November 2023, he played Dr. Pierce, the crooked physician who helped Melinda steal Nicole’s baby to give to Sloan on DAYS OF OUR LIVES.
“My first appearance in this medium made me nervous to my knees,” Mize admitted on Instagram in December. “I had no idea what to expect. Everything was new and unfamiliar.” However, his experience on DAYS changed everything! “I love it!” he exclaimed. “It’s the best, most exhilarating, and challenging experience to work at that breakneck pace! I learned so much!”
He then revealed that he couldn’t wait to do it all over again! “Actually, this month, I’m shooting my second recurring role on a different successful, long-running daytime show,” Mize teased. “I will say more after it airs in January!”
Obviously, that was his GH role as Adam’s father, which is airing shortly. The poor kid has been struggling with his pre-med studies and the pressure from his parents has caused him to start taking drugs and drinking. So when Mr. Wright finds out that his son overdosed, will he respond with loving care or scold him for being a disappointment? Stay tuned to find out!
