Watch the New Music Video From GH Alum Ryan Carnes' Band!

Over the past few months, GENERAL HOSPITAL alum Ryan Carnes (ex-Lucas) has been busy playing music and touring with his band, Lovecolor. And now, the musical duo has dropped their debut single! Called “Dangerous,” the catchy pop tune was released on Feb. 3 along with its debut video and is the first single off of the duo’s upcoming EP.

Lovecolor is made up of Carnes — who sings and plays drums — and his musical partner Vanessa Silberman, with whom he’s been collaborating since 2019. “We’re really proud of the new music we’ve created together and extremely excited to share it with all of you,” the twosome shared in coordinating Instagram posts when their single dropped.

In an interview with Beats Per Minute about their debut tune, Silberman explained that the song is about a few things, including “being so completely drawn to someone that it’s almost dangerous” as well as “really exposing your entire self” and “embracing every aspect of who you are.”

Carnes added that to him, the song “speaks to the idea of being fully awake, aware, alive and sharp in a world where parts of society and culture wish us to remain dull and asleep.”

The video was directed by Cosmos Klindarius, and the duo said they loved how his concept for the video “was very reminiscent in tone and in the spirit of the original Blade Runner film, of which we’re both fans. We instantly connected with his take, and we thought it fit very well with some of the nascent ideas we had for the piece.”

Silberman, a singer and songwriter, wrote and produced “Dangerous,” while Carnes co-produced the track alongside his bandmate.
