Stars Attend Memorial for Nicolas Coster
The daytime community was heartbroken by the death of veteran actor Nicolas Coster in June, and recently, some of his family and friends gathered together to celebrate his life and pay tribute to the man they loved.
Best known for playing Lionel Lockridge on SANTA BARBARA, Coster started his career in soaps like THE SECRET STORM and YOUNG DR. MALONE, and later appeared on AS THE WORLD TURNS and the streaming soap THE BAY. Fellow soap hopper Vincent Irizarry shared some photos of the emotional gathering.
“A beautiful day in Marina del Rey sharing in the memories of a truly beautiful man, Nicolas Coster, with those who knew and loved him,” Irizarry wrote. “Great thanks to his wonderful wife, Elena, for offering us all the opportunity to memorialize our dear friend, her greatly loved and missed husband. It really was a very special day of sharing, crying, celebrating, and joyful gratitude for having had him in our lives for a time.
“It was also wonderful seeing some of my past and beloved cast members and friends from the many daytime TV shows I’ve been blessed to be a part of over the decades,” he added. “It was a blessed day all around, one I’m grateful to have been a part of. RIP, dear Nicolas, knowing you were truly loved.”
