Avery Kristen Pohl Reveals How Esme Really Feels About Spencer on GH

Tags:

Being kidnapped and held prisoner at Wyndemere while pregnant wasn’t the best experience for Esme on GENERAL HOSPITAL, but suffering amnesia during her escape changed her into a whole new character. The former schemer is now living a quieter life raising her son, Ace, and growing closer to Spencer again in the process. But some fans are skeptical that her change of heart is genuine.

“I think that Esme is trying to have a little bit of a new lease on life,” Avery Kristen Pohl told Soap Opera Digest about her alter ego. “She’s much happier and I think she’s trying to accept her scenario for what it is and she’s starting to sort of find some semblance of a routine — and Spencer has become a huge part of that.

“I think a lot of [her view of Spencer] is tied to wanting Ace to be happy and giving him a semblance of stability,” she added. “But I think Esme also wants some semblance of stability and she can see that within Spencer, but in a very different light than the sort of ‘old’ Esme did.”

Trina has been jealous of all the time that Spencer has been spending with Esme and Ace, but are her worries justified? Is the “new” Esme really falling for Spencer? “I think that Esme is not fully aware of her feelings or her actions,” Pohl admitted. “I don’t think she’s got the same wherewithal of who she is as a person like she did before.

“Esme isn’t fully aware of how her actions are going to impact others,” she continued, “which may be similar to old Esme in a certain capacity, but I don’t think realizes her little mini crush on Spencer yet.”

Sounds like maybe Trina should be a little concerned! Keep watching GH to see what Esme does next, but first, share your opinion by voting in our online poll below!
