Avery Kristen Pohl Reveals What It’s Like Working With Baby Ace on GH

Tags:

There’s an old show biz adage that you shouldn’t work with animals or children, but Avery Kristen Pohl (Esme) is having the best time working with Jay and Joey Clay, who play Baby Ace on GENERAL HOSPITAL! And she’s also enjoyed watching the little boys grow up first-hand, just as viewers have on screen.

“One of them is walking, the other is crawling,” Pohl enthused in a recent issue of Soap Opera Digest. “They have teeth now. I was with them on set the other day and their mom was like, ‘Oh, will you take a photo with them?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, sure, of course!’ And then she told me, ‘The next time you see them, they’re going to be a year old!’ I was like, ‘What?!’ I mean, that flew by so quickly!”

While Jay and Joey take turns playing Baby Ace in scenes on GH, Pohl revealed that fans are seeing one of the twins more often than the other on the soap. “Joey is the one you see on screen [most of the time] and he is just the happiest little baby,” she confided. “Jay is equally adorable, but Joey really seems to love being on set. He thoroughly enjoys it.

“He’s got Kyle [Bell], our stage manager, constantly waving at him and making him laugh,” Pohl added of little Joey. “He loves looking at the lights. He’s just having a good old time!”

And viewers can tell because despite the drama swirling around them on the soap, Baby Ace is always smiling and having a laugh. Even when Spencer and Esme are arguing over how best to raise the boy! So we probably don’t have to tell you to keep watching GH to see more of the adorable Clay brothers!
