Emma Samms Returns to GENERAL HOSPITAL!

Tags:

Some eagle-eyed fans noticed a name in the credits of Friday’s episode that gave them hope that Emma Samms was returning to GENERAL HOSPITAL! And it turns out that the actress being credited as Holly Sutton at the end of that show wasn’t a mistake — she’s really coming back again!

Samms will be reprising the role of Holly again and her first episode back is scheduled to air on Monday, April 17. At this time, though, there is no indication as to how long this particular run will last.

Samms first appeared on GH as Holly Sutton back in July 1982. After her original stint came to an end in 1985, she came back for another from 1992-93 then made brief appearances in 2006, 2009, 2012, 2013, and 2015. Her return in 2020 was literally only just one brief clip of Holly on a security monitor that was actually shot at her home in England as the actress was suffering from Long COVID.

In October 2022, Samms was finally feeling well enough to actually return to work at the GH studio, though her continued struggles with the difficult symptoms of Long COVID meant it was another brief run. However, when Holly left to go rescue her son, Ethan, from Victor’s clutches, it seemed likely she would be back one day.

And with the walls finally closing in on Victor as the good guys of Port Charles prepare to bring down the villain and stop his nefarious plans, they’re going to need all the help they can get! So get ready for Holly to join the fight in April!
