Asher Antonyzyn Opens up About Joining the Cast of GH

As previously reported, Asher Antonyzyn is taking over the role of Danny on GENERAL HOSPITAL, and shortly before his daytime debut, the young actor expressed his excitement about his new gig.

“I am thrilled for the amazing opportunity I have been given and am so excited to be the newest member of the GH family!” Antonyzyn shared on Instagram. “Thank you to Management 101, The Osbrink Agency, Model Act Studios, and especially [GH casting director] Mark Teschner for this incredible experience. I can’t wait for my first episode to air this week!”

Danny hasn’t been seen on screen since the fall of 2021 when Zakary Risinger stepped into the role of Sam and Jason’s son for Thanksgiving and Christmas shows. Since it’s been nearly two years since the character has appeared on the soap, GH fans commented on Antonyzyn’s post to let him know how happy they were that he was taking over and they’d get to see Danny again.

Model Act Studios also congratulated their client. “Asher’s journey began when he attended the prestigious IMTA (International Model and Talent Association) with Model Act Studios,” they posted to their Instagram. “It was there that he showcased his exceptional skills and caught the attention of his amazing industry team! We couldn’t be prouder of Asher and his well-deserved success. This is a testament to his hard work, dedication, and undeniable talent.”
