Bryan Craig Teases His Role in the Joker Sequel!
Get ready to see GENERAL HOSPITAL alum Bryan Craig (ex-Morgan) on the big screen! The actor shared a photo on Instagram that reveals he has landed a role in the upcoming Joker sequel Folie à Deux! (Which translates to “Madness for Two.”)
The sequel to the 2019 film Joker brings back Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck, joined by Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn. Todd Phillips is back as writer and director of the DC Comics sequel and the cast also includes Brendan Gleeson, Zazie Beets, and Catherine Keener. Unfortunately, details of the movie are being kept strictly hush-hush, so Craig can’t even say what his role in the production is going to be. Heck, he even scratched out part of the text on the parking sign before posting the image to social media!
Morgan earned legions of soap fans — and two Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Younger Actor — for his run as the tortured Morgan Corinthos on GH. After just three years with the soap, Craig chose to exit and his character was killed off in a car bombing. (Though he did make a guest appearance for a special episode centered around Maura West’s Ava Jerome in January 2018.)
Since Morgan’s body was never found, many GH viewers have been hoping that Craig would one day return to reprise his role, but the talented young actor has been keeping pretty busy in film and primetime. He starred as Adam Coogan on the CW drama VALOR and Javi Mendoza on ABC’s GRAND HOTEL while also appearing in the movies The Ride, American Fighter, and Women is Losers.
Most recently, Craig could be seen playing Richard in the Netflix romantic comedy That’s Amor and joining the cast of Freeform’s GOOD TROUBLE as Joaquin Peréz for its fourth season. The Joker sequel isn’t due out until 2024, so keep checking back here at SoapsInDepth.com for updates because we’ll be sure to share any future details about Craig’s role in the film as they are announced!
