Eden McCoy and Evan Hofer's Sweet Surprise From GH Fans!

Talk about a sweet gesture! GENERAL HOSPITAL stars Eden McCoy (Josslyn) and Evan Hofer (Dex) were touched by a very special cake sent to them by a group of fans who have named themselves “Jex Universe.” (“Jex” being the couple nickname for Josslyn and Dex.)

“This is the sweetest thing,” McCoy enthused on Twitter as she shared some pics of the custom confection. “Thank you. We all loved it and we love you! The detailed quotes on the cake were [happy crying emoji and chef’s kiss emoji]”

The cake is decorated with a photo of the two actors surrounded by quotes of some of their memorable dialogue from GH. Some were serious, like “Here with you I feel safe,” and others were more humorous, like “You’re an idiot.” The card reads: “Eden & Evan! As a result of our love for you two, we’ve started a group in order to support you both. This gesture is aimed at showing appreciation and love for you and your characters. Our lives are filled with joy because of you two. And our greatest appreciation and utmost support goes out to you both. Thanks for elevating the entire show. Keep killing it! Love, Jex Universe.”

Hofer also tweeted a couple of pics of the cake and expressed his gratitude to the group and the member who signed her own name at the bottom of the card. “Thank you so much for the lovely cake and all of your support, Danielle.”

Co-star Tabyana Ali (Trina) also got in on the sweet treat and joined in the Twitter love, especially enjoying the couple’s new “smush” name. “Bro, I was so geeked!” she exclaimed. “Ahh… Jex.” And McCoy later joked: “Tabby loved it! She took lady bites, unlike Evan.”

Josslyn and Dex are already forming quite a passionate fan base, though the couple isn’t quite ready for a happily ever after yet — there’s still plenty of drama to come. So stay tuned!
