Maurice Benard Thanks You for Helping GH Hit a Major Milestone!

Tags:

When Maurice Benard (Sonny) unveiled the plaque that GENERAL HOSPITAL had received for reaching an impressive milestone, he knew just who to thank — the loyal viewers who have supported the soap for decades!

Standing in front of large gallery portraits of himself and Laura Wright (Carly), Benard unveiled the plaque commemorating GH reaching 100,000 subscribers on YouTube. “And let me tell you how difficult that is,” the actor explained, referencing his popular YouTube series State of Mind, which he has been doing for the past three years. “I would know because it took me a while and I really wanted it and I worked really hard.”

After jokingly “presenting” the plaque to Sonny and Carly, Benard expressed his gratitude on behalf of the hardworking cast and crew of GH. “So listen… basically, you want to thank the fans,” he declared. “Because it’s always you guys. Without you guys — I know it’s a cliche and I always say it but it’s true — without you guys, we wouldn’t have these things. We wouldn’t get plaques, we wouldn’t get ratings, we wouldn’t get anything.

“So I want to thank you guys for this,” he concluded, “and I’m very proud of GH.”

Please join us in congratulating the cast and crew on this impressive achievement, and if you’re not already a subscriber to the official GH YouTube channel, why not?
